With the right piece of software you can communicate with others in real time (I’m talking about applications like Skype or Yahoo! Messenger).

Last but not least, with the right application you can have a bit of fun. Computer games are such applications. Out of all the computer games available out there, I would like to draw attention to the KraiSoft Entertainment-developed Alien Sky.

Alien Sky is a fun action game for Windows. In the game you control a space ship and you fly around, well, space. As you fly around you encounter alien enemies that want to destroy you. There will be a lot of enemies – their behavior and their weaponry will differ. It is up to you to shoot them down and prevent an alien invasion. You will start with a basic set of weaponry and as you progress you will encounter powerful new weapons (like homing missiles for example). Didn’t have a chance to try all these weapons, but according to KraiSoft there are “10 powerful extra-weapons ranging from Homing Missiles to Nuke.” Make sure to get these weapons as they will help you more easily defeat the boss that’s waiting for you at the end of the level.

The Alien Sky game features good looking graphics and a nice soundtrack. The game is easy to play (you can control the space ship with the mouse or the keyboard) and will definitely keep you entertained for at least one hour. That’s how long you can play free of charge – 1 hour. After this trial period expires, you will have to get a license to keep playing.
